  The MMA Press Room is a grass roots, independent combat sports news media outlet owned and operated by the contributing editor Jesse Donathan. A seasoned mixed martial arts fan who has followed the sport since its inception in the United States, the MMA Press Room is the culmination of over 25 years of following mixed martial arts and is your source for up to date news, information and current events.

  The origins of this website date back to nearly the inception of mixed martial arts itself in North America. Only a child when my interest in martial arts blossomed, by the age of 14 in 1995 I had caught my first live UFC pay-per-view event at UFC 6 in Casper, Wyoming. A martial arts savant from an early age, I was well known in grade school for pouring over the latest issues of Black Belt magazine pulled off the shelves of the local grocery store.

  Likely where I had my first exposure to the UFC and the sport of No Holds Barred, I had cleared the shelves of the previously released UFC events long before 1995 at the local video stores. A religious follower of the sport ever since, my first published mixed martial arts reports were in 2009 and more recently my work can be found at numerous online publications including boxinginsider.com, boxing.com and fightpost.co.uk. During this time, I have had the chance to work with some of the finest people in the combat sports media industry and have been honored to interview the legendary George Foreman and a short, but growing list of mixed martial arts pioneers, legends and stars.
