“So we have two alternatives here – civil war and invasion,” explains former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov in his 1983 lecture on subversion. “Crisis is when society cannot function any more productively, it collapses. Obviously that’s the word for crisis. So, therefore the population at large is looking for a savior. The religious groups are expecting a messiah to come. The workers say, we have family to feed. Let’s have a strong government, maybe socialist government? Centralized. Will somebody put the employers in their place and let us work? We are sick and tired of going to strike and missing overtime and all of that stuff.

“We need some strong man, strong government. A leader, a savior is needed. Population is sick and tired already. And here we are, we have our savior. Either a foreign nation comes in or the local group of leftist, Marxists, no matter what they call themselves. Sandinista, a Reverend of some sort – Bishop Muzorewa like in Zimbabwe. Doesn’t matter, a savior comes and says, ‘I will lead you.’”

“The military can and will be used in the United States. But who you better watch for is the contractors,” explains Command Sgt. Major Dan Page in an August 22, 2014 Sheridan Lowrey YouTube video titled, “US President’s & Congress’s Treason EXPOSED by Retired Army Ranger Command Sgt Major Dan Page.”

“So, that’s the fourth thing that’s going to happen,” warns Page. “Contractors are going to come in, that be me. People like me; but on the other side – they are going to kill you.

“You are going to see people, that person sitting next to you; a few years from now will not be sitting there because they are going to be gone – because somebody like me is going to come in and kill you. For all of you wannabes out here who think you’re the baddest thing in the world, I’ve got news for you, you’re going to meet bad. Not that bad can’t be killed, but when you’re talking with somebody who does this 24/7, everyday of their life, you get pretty good at it. Not somebody who just does it every now and then.”

A tough pill to swallow for those unable to see the forest for the trees; nonetheless, sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction in being afforded the opportunity to avert certain calamity.

“I’ll be introducing the ‘Cartel Marque and Reprisal Authorization Act of 2025,’ which would authorize real Donald Trump to commission privately armed and equipped individuals or groups to seize persons and property of any cartel, cartel member or cartel linked organization,” explains former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis in her February 13, 2025 podcast titled, “Was Jesus A Centrist and Auditing Government Payments to NGOs for Illegal Immigration.”

Originally a post made by Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett on X, “Well, there’s concern of the constitutional consequences of our military being involved and I just think this frees up the president to bring in some people too that know how to conduct themselves in these situations,” explains Burchett during the follow up interview with American Family Radio.

“I remember years ago there were some privateers that went after some very bad people, and then the UN pitched a fit, and they literally had almost run these bandits out of the country and then the UN pitched a fit,” explains Burchett in attempting to sell the idea to the American people. “And, so they sent in the UN troops and literally millions of dollars later they had lost ground and lost lives.

“And, so I think it just allows the president to bring in some folks that know how to take care of business. And these cartels are evil; you know, they are human trafficking, organ harvesting, selling kids into sex slavery and unfortunately it is Americans that are paying for this stuff – these dirt bags here. And they need a short piece of rope and a tall tree to take care of them and lets let the Lord deal with them. But I think this just allows the president some freedom to protect our country and go after some very bad people.”

“Yeah, everything you’re describing sounds like it would be good for America,” suggests Ellis in response to the congressman’s proposal. “So how would this work? This sounds a little bit like he would be authorized then to have groups, like basically like privately trained, not bounty hunters necessarily, but people who are part of organizations and private militia that would go after these types of groups. How would that work, exactly?

“That’s exactly how it would work,” admits Burchett. “You described it. And of course there would be some criteria, there wouldn’t be just, you wouldn’t just say, ‘Hey, you want to go hunt bad guys?’ They would have, they’d have to have some organization, there would have to be some plans put in place. But I think it frees up the constitutional question of whether we can allow our military to do these types of things and I don’t see a downside to it. I see a cost savings to American citizens. And, again, you could get a group of, because we’ve got groups, SEALS and Special Forces that operate in some of these of organizations and you wouldn’t have to get congressional approval."

“But again, it just allows the president some freedom and it would actually be cheaper on the taxpayer,” explains Burchett. “So, I just don’t see, but I know people are going to cringe about it and say, ‘Oh, you’re bringing in mercenaries. This allows too much control.’ But the bill is pretty specific about what it allows for and these cartels are very bad people. And I just don’t think we are prepared to deal with this thing as Americans.”

“When Reagan was elected to the presidency he installed Louis Giufredda as head of FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency),” explains the narrator in a November 13, 2006 YouTube video titled, “Oliver North Questioned – Rex 84 Exposed During Iran-Contra.”

Information which was originally included in Page’s lecture on world government and the collapse of western civilization; the film goes on to explain, “Giufredda was an old, cold-warrior from Reagan’s California days whose specialty was suppression of unrest and dissent. Giufredda, North and George Bush began to turn FEMA into an instrument of domestic, anti-terrorism.”

“Colonel North,” states Congressman Jack Brooks (TX) as he goes on to question Lt. Colonel Oliver North during the 1987 Iran-Contra hearings, “in your work at the NSC, were you not assigned at one time to work on plans for the ‘Continuity of Government’ in the event of a major disaster?”

“I believe that question touches upon a highly sensitive and classified area,” interjects Senator Inouye of Hawaii as objections are immediately raised by those in attendance. “So, may I request that you not touch upon that, sir?”

“I was particularly concerned Mr. Chairman,” explains Brooks, “because I read in Miami papers and several others that there had been a plan developed by that same agency, a contingency plan in an event of an emergency, that would suspend the American Constitution and I was deeply concerned about it and wondered if that was the area in which he had worked?”

“And this is about the last thing that I’m going to have time for,” explains Page as he moves to wrap up the lecture with Oath Keepers. “This is Rex 84, this goes along with something you may want to write down called Operation Garden Plot. This is Rex 84, you can read it yourself. This goes right along; this is not a joke ladies and gentlemen. This is not a joke. We, I, personally, and many people that I work with, very, very, very close people that I know expect an imminent collapse of the United States. Imminent. I don’t know when it will come, but it’s going to come. It will come. It may be one major event, it may be a series of events, but it’s going to happen.”

With both Page and Bezmenov warning of not only the imminent collapse of the United States, but war on the American people; Rep. Tim Burchett’s proposal to field mercenaries inside the United States is both alarming in scope and troubling on its face. The same kind of hawkish mentality which not only led to virtually the entire country being shut down in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic; but the deployment of some 25,000 soldiers to the nation’s capital in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election. The lack of concern for the system of checks and balances originally envisioned by our founding fathers during the conception of our constitutional republic ultimately leaving us with only, “two alternatives here – civil war and invasion.”
