“Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism – American patriotism,” explains former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov in his 1984 interview with G. Edward Griffin. Nothing short of a national catastrophe which has only grown in severity over time, the United States lost nearly 60,000 men in an effort to stop the flow of communism into South Vietnam only to have the very fabric of America itself torn from within. “Ideological subversion is the process which is legitimate, overt and open,” continues Bezmenov. “You can see it with your own eyes. All you have to do, all American mass-media has to do is to unplug their bananas from their ears, open up their eyes and they can see it.

“There is no mystery; there is nothing to do with espionage. I know that espionage and intelligence gathering looks more romantic, it sells more deodorants through their advertising. Probably that’s why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond type of thrillers,” speculates Bezmenov. “But in reality the main emphasis of the KGB is not in the area of intelligence at all.”

An underground conservative cult hero who has successfully managed to transcend multiple generations of Americans due in large part to his appearance in the “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” video game series trailer, Bezmenov goes on to explain that, “Only about 15% of time, money and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion or active measures – aktivnye meropriyatiya in the language of the KGB, or psychological warfare.

“What it basically means,” explains Bezmenov, “is to change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interests of defending themselves, their families, their community and their country. It’s a great brainwashing process that goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

“The first one being demoralization. It takes from fifteen to twenty years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years?” asks Bezmenov. “Because this is the minimum number of years which requires to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy – exposed to the ideology of the enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism – American patriotism.“

The concept of class struggle (division) is the cornerstone of communist ideology. Described by the authors of “The Communist Manifesto” in terms of the bourgeoisie (oppressors) and the proletariat (oppressed), this simple equation can literally be used to decipher any number of communistic goals and agendas from racism to even climate change today. “This isn’t just about the ballot box; it’s not just about who is currently occupying the White House,” explains attorney Jenna Ellis in her October 17, 2023 podcast titled “GOP in Chaos.”

According to Ellis, “This goes much deeper; it goes much deeper to an overall worldview. When we have critical theory that is going into all of these institutions, when we see that they have this system of the oppressors versus the oppressed; and they’re trying purposely to suggest that under all of these theories and these studies – whether it's gender studies, it's queer studies, it's women studies, it's race studies, all of these things that go into them like critical race theory and the outflow of BLM. I mean all of these things are undergirding a culture that is largely turning away from the fundamental values and principles that truly made America great at our founding and they’re fundamentally shifting this intentionally away from liberty and freedom and into this sort of critical theory that is taking over our institutions.”

With worldview truly at the heart of the ideological clash between opposing paradigms, where the principles of individual liberty and freedom are increasingly abandoned by the American public in favor of social justice and equality, it’s important to understand exactly what constitutes communist ideology to begin with. “I don’t draw a massive distinction really, ideologically, between Nazism and communism because they both have the same source,” explains conservative commentator Ben Shapiro in an April 7, 2016 Young America’s Foundation YouTube video titled, “Ben Shapiro at Penn State University.”

“It’s just that the Nazi’s tended toward nationalism and the communists tended towards internationalism. And if you read Hitler’s book, if you read "Mein Kampf," what you will find is that he is very heavily influenced by Marx. The split between the National Socialists and the communists was a split over power, not over fundamental principle. And the fact is that the communists were fascists, I mean Stalin was a fascist. I mean fascism was a system of government that suggested that a top-down entity would rule every aspect of life,” explains Shapiro. “And the economic system that has been traditionally attached to that is one of seizure of private property and the redistribution of it. Which is something that both Hitler and Stalin did; so there is a high correlation between the Left of today and the fascists Left of today and the fascist Left of yesteryear.”

Elaborating further on the idea of a "top-down entity ruling every aspect of life," in among the most riveting lectures found anywhere online today Command Sgt. Major Dan Page identifies the philosophical underpinnings of communism and exactly what that should mean for every American in an August 22, 2014 Sheridan Lowrey YouTube video titled, “US President’s & Congress’s Treason Exposed by Retired US Army Ranger Command Sgt. Major Dan Page.”

“Under positivism, which is the third, is a communist doctrine of law,” explains Page in highlighting the various principles of law associated with the criminal justice system. “Positivism says that the State is the highest form of authority and whatever the State gives – the State can take away. And under positivism, you have something called civil rights. Have you heard that before? There is a difference between constitutional rights and civil rights.”

Described by the United States Library of Congress as “a nationwide movement for equal rights for African Americans and for an end to racial segregation and exclusion,” the civil rights era forever transformed the political landscape in the United States as critical theory rampaged throughout our institutions. Seemingly lining up perfectly with the “at least three generations of American students” originally educated in Marxist-Leninist ideology according to Bezmenov by 1984 alone, we see that the Marxist concept of the oppressors vs. the oppressed has been an integral part of the American experience for far longer than the history books may be willing to suggest.

“Communism is more than an economic, political, social or philosophical doctrine,” explains Cornelia Ferreira in quoting FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover in a June 4, 2015 VisionLiberty YouTube video titled, “Cornelia Ferreira: The Perestroika Deception Updated.”

“It is a way of life, a false materialistic religion,” continues Ferreira. “It would strip man of his belief in God and his freedom. Under communism, all would become slaves. America is now the prime target of international communism.”

All too reminiscent of America in 2024, where God and even the Pledge of Allegiance have largely been pulled out of the public education system and it becomes increasingly clear that those who fail to learn the invaluable lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them in the future. The previous two “Red Scares” in the United States apparently still not enough to educate the general public of the impending danger.

“To do evil a human being must first believe that what he is doing is good,” writes Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in “The Gulag Archipelago.” A grim truth which all but explains away the estimated 100-million lives lost to communism during the 20th century alone; in putting the pieces together we find that communism is an international worldview, an atheistic way of life where the State is viewed as the highest form of authority. It’s a philosophical doctrine where reality is not viewed through the basic American principles of liberty and freedom, but instead through the eyes of the oppressed. The paradigm shift in national identity due in large part to the ideological subversion of the public education system; where Marxist-Leninist ideology in terms of the oppressors and the oppressed has been “pumped into the soft minds of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of American patriotism.”
